I was born profoundly Deaf, my parents found out 4 days after my first birthday. I had two hearing aids for several years however they did not work for me. I then received a Cochlear Implant at age 4 years and 7 months. I was the 5th founding member at the Hear and Say Centre and have always remained heavily involved with the Hear and say Centre since it started.
